Congratulations on being selected to move forward into backgrounds with the California Highway Patrol. The Gumshoe Group has been retained to conduct the next phase of your hiring process, the Background Investigation. Before we get started, we want to confirm that you are still interested, and are ready to continue in the process.(Required)

Great, let’s get started. It is very important to ensure that you provide us with accurate and up-to-date information. Have there been any changes since you submitted your Personal History information in eSOPH that you would like to update before we proceed?(Required)

You will receive an email from The Gumshoe Group once your account has been unlocked. This is usually completed within two business days. At that point, you will have three days to update your Personal History Questionnaires in eSOPH.

Time is of the essence in this process, therefore your attention to timelines and details are very important. Part of the background investigation includes your ability to read, understand and follow instructions throughout the process. With that said, make sure that you read all correspondences and all attachments in their entirety.

During this background process, check your email no less than once a day to ensure you are not missing any communications. We will periodically send out requests for information via email, and non-responses will delay the process.
